Welcome to the weekend Woo Hoo, is it just me or was this a really long week, wow. With all the craziness going on right now with the COVID-19 I am looking forward to a quiet weekend and hopefully some time in my craft space. I am so anxious to share this card, it cracks me up every time I open it. Lol π I have been looking forward to making this card ever since I saw Karen Aikenβs Monkey Card for some reason I kept thinking the ovals would make great elephant ears.
This card is also a Crazy4Challenges challenge and this weeks challenge was a design challenge. I had to use a sketch for the front of the card and I was free to do the inside however I wanted. And this is what I came up with.

This card is so much better in a video, so to see this card in motion please check out my Facebook or my Instagram Please feel free to join my Facebook page if you would like to share your own crafty creations

All the paper and cardstock are from Stampin Up and the colours are listed below.

This card had to fit into a 6β x 6β envelope, and I wanted it to be as big as I could make it with a 8 1/2β x 11β piece of card stock. So folded this card is 5 1/2β x 5 3/4β

To cut the frames I used 2 of the My Favorite Things Wonky Squares

I didnβt want to go through too much of my Olive cardstock so I used some White cardstock in between. Some of the white had been stamped but not used so this was a good way to used it up.

I used Karen Burnistons Oval Frames Pop Up dieset to make the mechanism, the eyes and the glasses. I used the medium circle from the Surprise Ball Pop Up to make the pupils. The larger ovals are from an older Accordion Oval dieset but any large ovals would do. To assemble I recommend watching Karenβs VIDEO

I also used a sponge dauber to ink out the shape of the ears. I wanted the darker grey to look like the inside of his ears and the lighter grey for the main part of his ears.

The world bubble die is a retired Stampin Up die.
