Backyard Buddies Birthday Card

There is a bit of a benefit when some of your family doesn’t follow your blog or your social media ( or anything on the internet ), you can post their birthday card before their birthday 😜 sshhhhh

This weeks Craft Roulette Parameters weren’t too difficult, so I decided to give myself a couple extra challenges, 1 was to make a pop-up card that works with the rest of the parameters, and 2 was to make it masculine. CR parameters ā¬‡ļø

One of the challenges for me was to find patterned paper that was the colour of ā€œFlowering Fieldsā€ but could still be used on a masculine card. The colours on the stripes look like they were painted on.

Squirrel Friends Birthday card

Yeah I’m a little late this week, my day job is cutting into my craft time, if you’ve been following you’d see that I have been playing along with Craft Roulette, it is quite fun and sometimes following the parameters is quite a challenge, but so worth it when a fun and unique card comes out of it. This weeks parameters are…..

My card of choice is ā€œpop upā€ , I used strawberry fields colours, my bench is my chair, and I used yellow plaid. Here is my card.

Crafty Friend Birthday Card

I am sooo bummed, I just did this blog, the entire thing, was in the very last steps and for some reason my app closed and I lost it all 😢 so here I go again. I really like how this colour combo works together. I’m not typically a yellow/orange person but I really like how these colours pop against the blue. I’ve been having so much fun with Craft Roulette, so I thought I’d play again. This weeks parameters were to have a ā€œcard on a cardā€, ā€œSky viewā€ colours, it had to have a ā€œtableā€ (this one almost got me) end it had to have white dots or spots. So I went with a messy craft table, with a slimline card sitting on top (bonus challenge, if you know me if there is a card on my messy table it would be a pop up card, so I made a pop up card for my mini card) The colours I chose remind me of a sunset. And the flowers all have little white dots and the gems look like white dots against the blue. This card design is based on a Valentine card that Karen Burniston made a few years ago.

Touch of gold, Birthday Card

So apparently Craft Roulette is going to be a thing now lol. It is pretty fun, and a great way to come up with cards that you may not have. This week’s parameters were to 1- make an Easel card, 2- colours that you would find in a cornucopia, 3- rhyme with ā€œakeā€ and 4- has to have something gold on it. So I have a slimline with an easel feature on one side, I used red, gold, yellow, and green. I have a slice of ā€œcakeā€, I have a gold thread around the easel with a bow, and pulling double duty I have ā€œGold Flakesā€ used as confetti

Masculine Balloon Bouquet

I had so much fun playing Craft Roulette last week that I thought it play again. This weeks perimeters are ā€œmini drop downā€, colours ā€œfrom patterned paperā€, it has to have a ā€œbouquetā€, and at least 3 layers. I chose to use the Pop n Swap die-set from Karen Burniston, and instead of a flower bouquet I made a balloon bouquet. I dug this patterned paper out of my stash, and I actually have 4 layers.
