Trying really hard to get back on track, well at least this week’s Crazy4Challenges challenge is done on time 🙂 it’s the third weekend of the month and that means it is a sketch challenge. I don’t typically make Halloween cards but I thought that I would give it a go. I can’t take much credit for the card as the front is a design challenge and the inside is a close re-creation of a Karen Burniston card.
Welcome to the weekend, and another Crazy4Challenges challenge. this weeks challenge was to focus on the Sentiment, to make the sentiment the star of the card. I had to think a bit on this one, but then it came to me when a friend asked me to make a Birthday card for her son. I know him a little and I know that he fairly recently got a tattoo of the “HA HA HA” Joker themed tattoo. We gave him a bit of a hard time about the tattoo so I thought he would get a kick out of a Joker themed card using the same kind of look as the tattoo.
I have to say this card was actually a little frustrating to make at first, as everything I was trying to do was not turning out like I had planned, so I kept putting my mistakes aside and trying again or moving on, but in the end I ended using all the mistake pieces, some extra pieces, I changed ideas as I went, and the card turned out way better for it than I thought it would.

It’s the weekend so I have a Crazy4Challenges challenge, today we have another fun Calendar day challenge, apparently today (september 28th) is “Drink a Beer day” and I just happened to have a friend who needed a Beer themed card, so how about that, it was meant to be.
Welcome to the weekend and another Crazy4Challenges challenge. This weeks challenge is a Sketch challenge. I was a little short for time this week as I have been preparing for a really special card that I will posting soon (Monday I hope) so I thought this would be a fun card to make using a Scrapbooking kit. The benefit to using a Scrapbooking kit is that all the cardstock, paper and stickers will coordinate so if you are short on time this is a quick way to pull a card together. I also thought this kit would make a good masculine card to have on hand as I generally have an easier time making more fancy feminin cards that I am generally short of masculine cards. I think this one hit the mark.
Here is this weeks Sketch
and here is the card that I made for this challenge
Soooo I’m back, I apologise to anyone that is following about not posting since last week, I’ve had a crazy week, and I’m running crazy behind today. ok, so this weeks Crazy 4 Challenges challenge is to use colour blocking. a lot of the samples that I saw used strips, but I thought that I would try something a little different.
so it’s the beginning of a long weekend Yaaaaaayyyyyy, and it is also Crazy4Challenges day. This weeks challenge was to create a shaped card. I actually have been meaning to try this for a while so I was I excited to give this a whirl. I decided to use My Scan n Cut to create a larger version of a die cut character that I have, and it worked great.

The weekend has rolled around again so that means another Crazy 4 Challenges challenge. This weeks challenge is called “Cut up Stamping”, this means that after you stamp an image or a background you cut out a section of the image. Most of the examples that I have seen usually it is a strip that is cut out, but you can try cutting it anyway that works for you. I watched a Jennifer McGuire video months ago so I was kind of working off some tips that she suggested in that video. In a lot of the samples I have seen the images tended to be floral, I wanted to do something different so I opted to do some autumn trees, this is an anniversary card for a couple that I am very close to that has an autumn anniversary (and they don’t go on the internet EVER (besides Netflix)so it is safe to post. (if you are reading this and can guess who this couple is DON’T tell them about this card 😀)

Happy Weekend, and this week’s Crazy4Challenges challenge is a Sketch Challenge. I have a special friend with a birthday coming up so I made this one with her in mind. When creating cards sometimes I try to come up with little side challenges just for myself, and one of them more often than not is to find (and use) something that I’ve had for years and not used previously. So this week I got digging through some Scrapbook Kits that I’ve had for YEARS and pick one out that suited the theme I was looking for. The benefit of using kits is that all of the items in the kit will coordinate with each other so it makes it a little easier and sometimes quicker.

Hello, a little late today but here I am. Apparently yesterday was Book Lovers Day so this weeks Crazy For Challenges challenge is to get inspiration from a book. I cheated a little this week, if you are following me you may remember that I posted Whomping Good Day card back in June. When I posted that card I had a special request to make another so my challenge to myself was to make this card different than the last one. In many ways it is similar but there are still a few ways in which it is different.
I have been anxiously waiting to make this post. I had this idea for making a big sandcastle out of the “Woven Basket” die set and the “Castle Pop up” for a while now and I had to wait for this week’s Crazy4Challenges challenge to post it because you guest it, this weeks challenge is to make a card incorporating a sand castle, apparently its “Sandcastle Day” so get out there and hit the beach or craft room and make a sandcastle everybody.
If your wondering what I mean by “lake beach”, I grew up in a town on the North shore of Lake Huron, and although all the “Ocean beach” cards with their crabs and palm trees are quite lovely , I’m more likely to see frogs and cattails near the beaches I’m used to, so this card is dedicated to my home town of Blind River. Miss you like crazy especially when it’s this hot out.
