Ever since I got the Paper Frames die set I wanted to work out how to have 2 of them in a slimline card. I am quite pleased with the results.

I thought these 2 sets together would make a great alternative to a birthday card, I made three coordinating Surprise Cubes which fit perfectly inside the new Slider box. I left one side of each cube blank so there are places to write birthday greetings and this is what I came up with. This is so fun, when you open the box the cubes fly out. Lol.

Sorry I’ve been MIA, I have had a crazy month. But I am pretty excited to share this card. When I originally saw this card from Sandy Diller I knew I just had to give it a go. Sandy made it as a mini slimline card but I wanted to go bigger. If you check out Sandy’s card she has a great video and she explains how to alter the mechanism used so it would fit in a mini slimline. I didn’t have to alter the shape like she did because I made my card 6” x 6”. Both cards have a great balloon surprise when you open the card.

I did make a different version (I’ll post a photo at the bottom of this post) but I changed it sooo many times when making it that my photos would make the tutorial too confusing. I came up with this version when I was trying to make an extra special card for my niece.
