Hello, let me start by saying that this card almost felt like it needed to be made, It was like as I started getting the idea it just almost made itself. Maybe it was because the movie had been playing at work for about a week, maybe because balloons make me happy and I feel the need to share a bit of happiness when there is so much sadness and worry going on in the world right now. I can’t even think of who I would send this to because I want to send it to everyone I know and even those I don’t. Hopefully this card puts a smile on someone else’s face🎈🏠😊
This card was also made for the Crazy4Challenges challenge. This weeks challenge was to make a gate fold card. That is a card that folds in from both sides and the opening is in the middle. I just turned mine sideways. Lol.

All the magic is in the motion, some of the balloons actually move up and down when the card opens and closes please check out my Facebook page or my Instagram to see the video. Feel free to join my Facebook group if you would like to share your creations.

I used a few Karen Burniston die sets to make this card. The pop up mechanism is from the Parcel Pop-Up set, the balloons are from the Explosion Pop-up set, and the house is from the House and Fence Pop-up
All the cardstock is from Stampin Up and is listed below, I also used coloured vellum from my stash. The colours with the 🏠 are colours used to create the house, the colours with the 🎈 are colours used to creat the balloons. The other 2 colours are the cardbase colours.

Starting with the cardbase

This is how I created the sky back ground. I used Soft Sky ink to match the cardbase. I find it works best if I start from the top and work my way down.

On to the house 🏠😀

The next few sets of photos show how to assemble and attach the mechanism, it is tricky to explain with photos so I recommend watching Karen’s VIDEO tutorial

When adding the balloons bellow I cut the balloons that have to cross the fold line in half so the card will be able to fold. If I was recreating this card, when adding the balloons to the acetate strip I would not go quite so high, when closing they actually go right up to the fold line, I got lucky because if they were any higher the card would not fold without bending those balloons.

The shapes used to create the large tag is a retired Stampin Up nesting die set. But really and shape would work 😀
