Blossoming Bouquet-C4C573

*So apparently February 28th is floral design day sooooo, this weeks Crazy4Challenges challenge is to make a card that features flowers. I had to make a card last week (it will post in the future as I matched it up with a different challenge) and I worked out how to add to the Parcel Pop Up so I could add a larger image and have it pop over the top edge of the card. I liked how it turned out so much that I decided to do it again with this card. I know it’s a bit early for Mother’s Day but I am ALWAYS so far behind I thought it would be good to actually get ahead of the game.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

I wanted the flowers to be different than what I typically do. I typically die cut the flowers but I wanted a different look for this card so I went stash diving and found a Stampin Up scrapbooking kit that I’ve had since 2006 😜, the supplies and colours are are listed below.

The dieset I used for the mechanism is the Parcel Pop up from Karen Burniston. I have photos below showing the progress, but I recommend watching Karen’s tutorial as it is kind of complicated to just describe in Photos it can be found on here

I wanted to make a pretty flower pot….

So I made a bit of a boo boo 😒

Because the piece the comes out of the flower pot will be so long I needed to add support to the card.

I used stickers but die cut, felt, or stamped flowers will work as well.

Hope things start looking “up”
