This was almost the card I was going to post for last weeks designer challenge as the theme was Halloweenor or Fall but I decided that Inwanted to be different than the rest and go with fall. Back in July Karen Burniston made a card using the Spinner Square dieset, where she used it THREE TIMES on one card, to make a “Triple Square Spinner Card”. I absolutely love when she teaches new ways to use dies that I already have. But anyone who knows me knows that I challenge myself to find a way to put my own spin (yes the pun was intended) on it, so instead of squares I decided to make a giant Haunted Mansion. This is what I came up with.
With this technique not only does the haunted mansion pop up but the bats, and the “boo” swing from left to right, and the ghost swings from right to left. Hello, let me start by saying that this card almost felt like it needed to be made, It was like as I started getting the idea it just almost made itself. Maybe it was because the movie had been playing at work for about a week, maybe because balloons make me happy and I feel the need to share a bit of happiness when there is so much sadness and worry going on in the world right now. I can’t even think of who I would send this to because I want to send it to everyone I know and even those I don’t. Hopefully this card puts a smile on someone else’s face🎈🏠😊
This card was also made for the Crazy4Challenges challenge. This weeks challenge was to make a gate fold card. That is a card that folds in from both sides and the opening is in the middle. I just turned mine sideways. Lol.
All the magic is in the motion, some of the balloons actually move up and down when the card opens and closes please check out my Facebook page or my Instagram to see the video. Feel free to join my Facebook group if you would like to share your creations.

I was looking forward to making one of these cards when I first saw the YouTube Magical Rain Shaker Card Video by Laura Dovalo. I thought this was such a fun idea, but I had no idea who I was going to make it for, well I showed a friend of mine and she REALLY wanted me to make one for her to give to someone who brightens her days, soooo that was they only thing I needed, and away I went. The hardest part about making the card was beading on the really thin line that I had, as the beads were too small for needle to go through and my eyes had a hard time seeing the itty bitty holes in the beads, but I got it done.
This card is pretty funny if you happen to know my dog. She loves to sit in the window to wait for us all to get home and she gets crazy excited when we do, and she has little yellow tennis balls all over the house. The dog on the card also rocks from side to side, (like the Hoppy Birthday frog from October 8th/18 and the Snappy Birthday crab from August 11th/18)
