soo today was one of those days where I had a plan, a goal and the idea in which I planned on doing it, it’s a card that I promised would be done before Friday annnnnd it didn’t get done. It wasn’t for lack of trying, I just couldn’t get the mechanism to do what it was supposed to do and I was getting frustrated so I decided to put it down. I found this pretty striped paper from my crazy stash and created this card, which is pretty much the exact opposite of the card that I had originally started. Anyway I got something done today, maybe it wasn’t what I had planned but it’s cute and it’s complete. π

The cardstock for this card is all from Stampin’ Up and the colours are listed below. The striped paper is from my crazy stash so it is probably quite old and it is from Frances Meyer. The dies used are all from Karen Burniston and they are all listed below as well.

The Stamp set is a retired Stampin UP set. I used a variety of Karen Burniston die sets to cut out the stamped insects and the matts.
grasshopper- Spinner Square pop up , and Upsy Daisy
Dragonfly- Twist Circle pop up
Caterpillar- Tag book pop up

I wanted the border on the caterpillar to look like it was behind the stamped image so I adhered the trimmed border to the middle section that was cut out and used washi tape to keep them together. I added the stamped image on top. When I added the foam adhesive on the back I made sure to overlap the trim and the inside as washi tape wouldn’t hold it for long.

Now for the inside. I used the Lots of Pops die set, unfortunately it is no longer available.
