Lets Hang out

Who doesn’t love monkeys, and these cheeky monkeys make a really cute card. When I made the Pushing Up Daisies card, I thought the mechanism was so fun that I had to do another, but I wanted to do something other than flowers sooooo I thought a swinging monkey would be adorable. Again I have to give credit to Laura Dovalo as if it were not for her Video this card wouldn’t have came to be, and this card makes me happy.

I’m trying something new, still trying to work out the kinks hopefully it works let me know what you think.

Jinx the monkey is the star of the show, he is a retired Karen Burniston die set but if you’re lucky you can find him on Ebay or Amazon, the Palm leaves are from Karen’s Palm Tree Pop-Up All the colours used except for the white are from Stampin’ Up and they are list in the directions, they are not all current colours but I use what I have, most of the colours can be substituted for what you have.

correction, the coconuts were cut out of Chocolate Chip cardstock, inked with Early Espresso.

using a circle punch, cut a 1/2 circle out of the top of the card, it will make pulling the tab easier.

If you notice the card is a little shorter than when I first started it, I had a brain fog and I cut the half circle for the card front at the bottom when it needed to be at the top, so I trimmed the bottom flat, and trimmed all the other piece to line it all before I started adhering it together.
