Pretty in Pink-C4C498-Sketch Challenge

*Happy Weekend, and this week’s Crazy4Challenges challenge is a Sketch Challenge. I have a special friend with a birthday coming up so I made this one with her in mind. When creating cards sometimes I try to come up with little side challenges just for myself, and one of them more often than not is to find (and use) something that I’ve had for years and not used previously. So this week I got digging through some Scrapbook Kits that I’ve had for YEARS and pick one out that suited the theme I was looking for. The benefit of using kits is that all of the items in the kit will coordinate with each other so it makes it a little easier and sometimes quicker.

Ok, here we go. Originally I was going to make a monochromatic Pink card but as I got going I found it was too much so I added some yellow and a little bit of green.

To make this card I used I used the Circle Tagbook Pop up from Karen Burniston. As always I recommend watching her tutorial video as it gives great details on how to assemble, it is at the bottom of the product page linked above

All the Cardstock, paper, and accessories are from Stampin Up, although the paper and stickers are retired. Colours are listed in the description.

I started decorating the front but ended up changing as I went, the stickers in the below photos ended up getting changed up a bit.

Now to create the inside mechanism .

I choose three different ribbons that I grouped together to decorate the tags, One was in So Safron, one was in Rose Red (looks close to the Melon Mambo) and one was a green (tag is missing) all are from Stampin Up and they are all retired.

To decorate the inside I used more flower stickers from the kit, and some circles and shapes that I cut out of the patterned paper and some of the So Saffron Cardstock. On the top circle I used a retired Stampin Up stamp set and Melon Mambo ink to stamp the greeting. On third circle I used a heart die to cut a heart out of the So Saffron circle so the pink will peek through. I also decorated with some faux raindrops and itty bitty gems.
