Golden Snowflakes Christmas in July

I’ve always loved the look of cream and gold, it has such an elegant feel to it. I’ve used these colours on Christmas card before so I thought I would use it on this snowflake mobile card.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

I cut the cardbase and panels as shown. I cut the centers out of the brushed gold cardstock as it would be covered anyway.

I cut 2 Snowflake Panels and trimmed them to fit on the solid gold panel as shown. I wanted the edges to fit look like they fit proper so there is a weird overlap 3/4 of the way down (see pic with ➡️)

I diecut the Pattern Plate Snowflakes into a couple of the different gold papers and fussy cut a few out and added to the card front. Cut Merry Christmas from gold and the Merry Christmas Shadow from the cream cardstock. I layered matching ribbon from my stash to cover the seam where the 2 cream snowflake pannels meet.

I made a faux bow by layering 2 cream pieces of ribbon and 2 gold, I wrapped a gold one around the middle and glued it to the ribbon border on the card.

Add the gold and cream panels to the inside. Die cut and assemble the Raisining Platform mechanism (Karen has a video tutorial on the product page at the link ⬆️)

I cut multiple snowflakes from the different golds using the Holiday Charms, Winter Charms, and Snowman Add on. The swirls are from the Raising platform dieset. I used a very thin thread to add the the snowflakes to the back of the cream label. I used some of the confetti that fell out from cutting the snowflakes and glued them on the back of the label to help hold the thread right.

I added the cream-coloured label over the gold. I added snowflakes and swirls to the label and the background. I also added some itty bitty gems.
