Pop Up Piano Keys Birthday card

I’m still sharing cards made with Karen Burnistons new release, this card uses the Piano Keys Pop up, and the new Music Charms. I wanted a fun vibrant card so I picked this fun paper with coordinating cardstock.I decided that I didn’t want any black on this card so I made the piano keys pink.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page, or TikTok 😊

I found this pretty striped paper in my stash (retired Stampin Up) and dug out the coordinating cardstock. Correction- the photo shows red cardstock but there isn’t any red in the paper so I switched it out for orange and pink.

The card base is 7” x 8 1/2” scored @ 31/2” The rectangle layers were all cut using the Long Rectangles Crosshatch

Add all the layers as shown

I cut out the trumpet from gold mirror cardstock using the Music Charms dieset. I also cut out the music staff from a light grey cardstock. I kept the pieces that fell out of the diecut and used them to extend the staff so it looked as if it were coming out of the trumpet. I diecut, layered and trimmed the Hexagon Crosshatch as shown then added to the card front.

I die cut several notes from the Music Charms and the Piano Keys Pop up from all the fun colours. I googled the music for the “Happy Birthday” song and laid out the notes in that order. I added shading with a Versa Mark Marker, and highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen

Time for the inside, I cut out 2 sets of keys from the Piano Keys Pop up, assembled and added to the card. (Karen will have a video tutorial on the product page at the link ⬆️ )

I added some more hexagons and notes as shown. The fun stamped images are from the new Music Sentiments and Birthday stamps. I added shading with a Versa Mark Marker, and highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen

What’s a card without some bling, I added some little gems everywhere there are music notes.
