Mothers Day Twist Panel Pop Up Card

With Mothers day just around the corner, I thought I would post the card that I sent my Mother last year for Mothers Day. I thought the colour combo worked well and the Twist panel feature gave it a fun TWIST 😀

All the colours used on today’s card are from Stampin UP. The cardstock used is Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride, and Very Vanilla. The ink colours used are Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral, Certainly Celery, and Garden Green.

The beautiful stamps used for this card are from Altenew and the set is called Peony Bouquet. When stamping the flowers I needed four different colours for the four layers, I started with the Blushing Bride, the next layer is Crisp Cantaloupe, then I used the Calypso Coral but I stamped it off first to come up with a lighter shade, and the last layer I used Calypso Coral without stamping it off to give the full colour. I did the same with the leaves, first I stamped Certainly Celery, then stamped off Garden Green for the next layer and then stamped Garden Green without stamping off.

I stamped all the different elements onto Very Vanilla cardstock and I used one of the dies from the set to trim 4 of the images to fit inside the panels. I trimmed two of the larger panels so one would fit the top of the inside, and one would fit on the bottom of the inside. Before adhering I sponged Calypso Coral ink around all the edges of the Vanilla and Cantaloupe pieces. The Mothers day greeting I purchased second hand.
