“Balloon Birthday”

Inspiration comes to me in many ways, most times the recipient of the intended card plays a big part. Maybe they have a pet, maybe their favourite colour is blue, maybe they love Harry Potter. Today’s card all started with a piece of paper, my friend who will be the recipient of this card is one of the happiest people I know, she can make me smile or laugh with just a phone call and more often then not she brightens my day. So I found a pretty bright piece of designer paper and went from there.

Today’s card uses the “Twist Panel Pop up” die from Karen Burniston (see her video instructions here https://youtu.be/BuNlkY3x4t0 )

All the cardstock, the beautiful designer paper, ink and stamp (inside greeting), and the heart punch (tail from the balloon on the front) are all from Stampin’ UP.

The big balloon on the front was cut using a large circle from the Creative Memories circle cutting tool (sorry the name escapes me and it is over 13 years old lol).

The birthday greeting is a die from my stache and the balloons were cut using my scan n cut machine.

The string is a piece of bakers twine that I coated in white glue to keep its twisty shape, and I used a “Wink of Stella” to add some glitter to the balloons and the designer paper.

Thanks for joining me! I am a paper crafting enthusiast who has a special interest in interactive cards. I get a lot of inspiration from the internet so I thought that I  would throw out my own creations with hope that it inspires someone else.
