Pickle Party -C4C561

The thing I love most about being part of the Crazy4Challenges design team is I am challenged to make cards that I might not have ever made. This card is a prime example. If someone would have said that I would make a Pickle themed card AND draw cut and colour my own pickles I would have said that it was probably not likely BUT guess what, not only did I do that I made it into a green monochromatic interactive card 🥒🤯. Apparently today (Nov 14) is PICKLE DAY so the challenge was to make a card inspired by pickles, either by including a pickle, or food that goes with pickles, use the colour green, or incorporate a pickled theme sentiment. I hit most of the marks with this one.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

So at first I was kind of stumped soooooo I hit up GOOGLE

I went digging through my paper stash and came up with this👇🏻

The card base and the insert I cut for the mechanism 👇🏻

Keep cutting….. 👇🏻 I used the Twist Panel Pop up dieset from Karen Burniston. I took photos of the progress while creating the mechanism, I have some basic instructions as well but I highly recommend watching Karen’s VIDEO if you decide to try this mechanism.

I can’t believe I created these adorable dills 😊🥒

The party accessories I pulled from different sets that I have. I could have made extra gifts or balloons out of other dies had I not been able to pull from my stash. The blower and hat are from retired sets. The balloon is a Heart from the Love Charms die set and the gift is from the Gift Pivot Panel die set.

I usually only try to use dies that I know where they came from, the letter dies I used are from some random sets that I bought in a box from Thrift store a while back. But the look works with any dies as I used mismatched sets anyway sooooo use what you got.

Oohhhhh Nooooo the dreaded catch point, check out what I did to fix👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
