October Designer Challenge- Fall Garden Bench card

Yay, its that time again, it’s the Karen Burniston October Designer challenge, and this month’s challenge is to make either a Halloween card or a Fall-themed card and I went with a fall-themed card. I have a co-worker who needed an anniversary card, and he also was requesting a card with fall colours, there was also talk of there possibly being a wooden bench swing for a gift so I challenged myself to make the Karen Buriston Garden Bench popup into a swing, and the results turned out better than I thought it would.

Supplies are listed at the bottom

Sew Glad We’re Friends

It’s Sew much fun playing with new die sets, and the new Sewing Charms are super cute. I decided to use this set on a pink monochromatic Circle Tag book card. I thought it would be cute to have the thread from the spool on the front wind all the way through from the front to the back.

Mischievous Gnomes

This card cracks me up πŸ˜‚, I was having so much fun I made 2. This started as a birthday card for my brother who has a long-standing dislike of garden gnomes, sooo of course I had to make him a card using multiple gnomes. I was also trying to find a creative way to use the Mail Box pop up die set, and then it came to me to have the mischievous garden gnomes stealing the birthday cards from the mailbox. I thought of different ways to style them so they wouldn’t all look the same. My husband reminded me that my brother is a grown man and not to make it too childish but I knew my bro would get a kick out of it. The second one I added flowers to and few more fun details, I had a little more time to play with it.

For the first card I made my brother I wanted the inside to be a surprise so I didn’t add any gnomes to the front, I just teased with the hat.

For the second card, I added a scene to the front, and I thought it would a good idea to have a place to write a message on the back. I didn’t think to add it to my brothers card until after I signed the inside and had mailed it.

There are a lot of moving parts on this card, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

Santa’s Little Helper

Today I have a Christmas card that I made using some more of Karen Burnistons NEW RELEASE. The main die set I used is the Fireplace Pop-up, and I also used the Fireplace Extras 1 (Christmas themed) and Fireplace Extras 2. There are so many pieces in these sets that the possibilities are endless as they can’t also mix and match with other prereleased sets. This is the card that I came up with.

Sliding Skeleton Shaker Pop up card

IT’S SNEAK PEAK TIME, and I’m so EXCITED. I made a few cards and I had a hard time choosing which one to post first. I decided on this one because it uses 3 new products so it’s 3 sneak peaks 😁. This adorable Skeleton from the Skeleton and Bats set, the Slim Pattern Plate- Spiders, and the Slim Pattern Plate – Bats. All the dies used for this card are from Karen Buriston, I will list them as I go, and all the links will be at the bottom of this post. I cut enough pieces so I made 2 cards. The front of the card is a shaker, with a skeleton, I didn’t want him to get stuck upside down so I added him to a thread so he could glide up and down with out the possibility of him flipping upside down. Links are at the bottom of the page

The inside has this fun pop-up with all these adorable Halloween characters
