Purrrrfect Together C4C518

Well this card was quite the challenge, actually it turned into 3 challenges, 2 planned and 1 not so much. It is a weekend post so it is obviously a Crazy4Challenges post. This weeks challenges is a design challenge and the design is below. Challenge number 2 was a challenge that came about by Karen Burniston herself. A few weeks back I posted a question on her PoP up Peeps facebook page. I was in the process of making a Photo Collage card and I noticed it was making a scraping sound, so I asked if I was doing something wrong or if there was a way to prevent the scraping sound. Karen replied that the scraping was normal and she challenged me to make the sound part of the design of the card….. so I came up with the cat clawing the wall. Challenge 3 is not as fun. I have been dealing with a medical issue that at the moment greatly limits the use of my left hand. I had most of the card finish and most of this blog as well earlier in the week, but it was a challenge getting it finished. And as I sit here typing with my one good hand (good thing I’m right handed) I know the rest of this post may have a little less typing LOL,

Carried Away Valentine

Ok, I know it’s a bit early but I’m in a Valentine mood, so I went digging through the Valentine card photos that I made last year but hadn’t posted. I don’t generally like to post a card before the recipient receives it. So I’ve got a few from last year kicking around. Today’s card is the card I made for my husband last year. Looking back at the photos I realize either I didn’t take many or I thought I had posted this card and had deleted them all. As there are no photos of me actually assembling it so I will give the best explanation that I can.

The fun is in the motion. To see this card in motion please check out my Facebook page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. The video can also be found on my Instagram

Birthday Pivot Panel card-C4C516

*Happy New year!!!!!!! I’m sorry I have been away, I generally take a little break around Christmas as my day job is retail so life is usually really hectic around the holidays. But I am back with a very Sparkly Birthday card. Not only is this my first card of the new year it is also the first Crazy4Challenges challenge of the year, this first challenge is to try something new on your project, either a new-to-you product or technique. I decided to make a card using the Karen Burniston “Gift Pivot Panel” die set. It is a die set that I haven’t used before and I have never made a pivot panel card before. This is what I came up with.

Parcel Pop up Magic Card

I just love magic cards, they are so fun and they have such a fun surprise when you open the card, so when I saw the version of a Magic Card using the Parcel Pop up mechanism I knew I just had to give it a try. The size shape and mechanism for this card are all from Karen’s video tutorial (link will be below) I thought the ornaments would be a fun image to use so I chose my stamps and paper colours and away I went.
