Ok, I know it’s a bit early but I’m in a Valentine mood, so I went digging through the Valentine card photos that I made last year but hadn’t posted. I don’t generally like to post a card before the recipient receives it. So I’ve got a few from last year kicking around. Today’s card is the card I made for my husband last year. Looking back at the photos I realize either I didn’t take many or I thought I had posted this card and had deleted them all. As there are no photos of me actually assembling it so I will give the best explanation that I can.

I think this gnome is so adorable, and once I saw Karen Burnistons Video tutorial on making this cutie I knew I had to give it a go. The Surprise Ball pop up mechanism is what makes this so card so much fun
All the fun is in the pop-up so if you would like to see a video of this card in action please check out my Facebook page or my Instagram. Please feel free to join my facebook group if you would like to share your own creations.
So I’ve been looking through my old cards and I came across this card that I made my husband 10 years ago. It was an anniversary card that I made for our 10th anniversary. But it’s kind of pretty and it could pass for a valentine card so I thought I would share today.
Valentines is only a few days away so I thought I would post another Valentine from my card box. I wish I could take full credit for this card but I got the original idea from a card challenge I was a part of back in 2010 😳. It was called a Featured Stamper challenge from Stampin Connection, and the challenge was to look through the featured stampers posts, find something to use as an inspiration and share what we came up with. Lisa Young was the featured artist and I really liked how she cut the petals of the flower to make a heart she said she got the flower idea from a craft magazine. The colours and embossing were how I changed it up to make it my own.
What’s black, and white and red all over……. 🤔 this fun Valentines Day card. It may be hard to see in the photo but the black and white sections of this card are not made with patterned paper 😮 I know, shocker right. I really like how the red pop against the black and white, but if I had to do this card over again I would use a wider red ribbon to add a little more pop.
