I’ve been trying to think how to make a Slim line pivot panel card, and this is what I came up with, along the way I figured out a few things, I had a happy accident that I didn’t even realize until I started decorating, and I also used a helpful hint. This card was also made for this weeks Crazy4Challenges challenge which is to create a card using Purple 💜 and or green 💚, I choose to use both and this is what I came up with.

Hello, I am excited to share the first Crazy4Challenges challenge of the year 🤗 Since it is a New Year the challenge is to create something new to me, new tool, new technique, new style……. I decided to try a new technique. It’s a technique that I have been wanting to try for a while but have’t had the time, so last weekend I watched a few videos and gave it a go and I have to say I wish I would have tried it sooner. It’s pretty easy and it doesn’t require any special tools 😃 and it can be used for any occasion, what else can you ask for in a technique. So here is my Valentines Shutter card 💝 (I added a mini card to the back for a special message)
All the fun is in the reveal, it’s hard to tell in the photo but the central shutter opens and closes as you open and close the card. Ok, I’m back, I think 😬. I’ve been trying to get into my craft room but I still have limitations but I think I’ve got it worked out. I was posting three times a week, I feel realistically I can probably do two posts per week. I’m going to continue with the Crazy4Challenges weekend challenges, and I would like to create another blog probably earlier in the week. As I start feeling better I will work my way back into a third post per week. I appreciate everyone who has been taking the time to check out my blog.
This post is actually a day late 😬. This is my card for this weeks Crazy4Challenges challenge. This weeks challenge is a design challenge and this is what I came up with.
All the fun is in the movement, to see a video of this card in motion please check out my Facebook page or my Instagram feel free to follow join my Facebook group if you would like to share your own crafty creations.

Well this card was quite the challenge, actually it turned into 3 challenges, 2 planned and 1 not so much. It is a weekend post so it is obviously a Crazy4Challenges post. This weeks challenges is a design challenge and the design is below. Challenge number 2 was a challenge that came about by Karen Burniston herself. A few weeks back I posted a question on her PoP up Peeps facebook page. I was in the process of making a Photo Collage card and I noticed it was making a scraping sound, so I asked if I was doing something wrong or if there was a way to prevent the scraping sound. Karen replied that the scraping was normal and she challenged me to make the sound part of the design of the card….. so I came up with the cat clawing the wall. Challenge 3 is not as fun. I have been dealing with a medical issue that at the moment greatly limits the use of my left hand. I had most of the card finish and most of this blog as well earlier in the week, but it was a challenge getting it finished. And as I sit here typing with my one good hand (good thing I’m right handed) I know the rest of this post may have a little less typing LOL,
my take on the design challenge

Ok, I know it’s a bit early but I’m in a Valentine mood, so I went digging through the Valentine card photos that I made last year but hadn’t posted. I don’t generally like to post a card before the recipient receives it. So I’ve got a few from last year kicking around. Today’s card is the card I made for my husband last year. Looking back at the photos I realize either I didn’t take many or I thought I had posted this card and had deleted them all. As there are no photos of me actually assembling it so I will give the best explanation that I can.

I think this gnome is so adorable, and once I saw Karen Burnistons Video tutorial on making this cutie I knew I had to give it a go. The Surprise Ball pop up mechanism is what makes this so card so much fun
All the fun is in the pop-up so if you would like to see a video of this card in action please check out my Facebook page or my Instagram. Please feel free to join my facebook group if you would like to share your own creations.
So I’ve been looking through my old cards and I came across this card that I made my husband 10 years ago. It was an anniversary card that I made for our 10th anniversary. But it’s kind of pretty and it could pass for a valentine card so I thought I would share today.
Valentines is only a few days away so I thought I would post another Valentine from my card box. I wish I could take full credit for this card but I got the original idea from a card challenge I was a part of back in 2010 😳. It was called a Featured Stamper challenge from Stampin Connection, and the challenge was to look through the featured stampers posts, find something to use as an inspiration and share what we came up with. Lisa Young was the featured artist and I really liked how she cut the petals of the flower to make a heart she said she got the flower idea from a craft magazine. The colours and embossing were how I changed it up to make it my own.
What’s black, and white and red all over……. 🤔 this fun Valentines Day card. It may be hard to see in the photo but the black and white sections of this card are not made with patterned paper 😮 I know, shocker right. I really like how the red pop against the black and white, but if I had to do this card over again I would use a wider red ribbon to add a little more pop.
