Hello Love-C4C569

I’ve had a busy week so I decided to take an older card for this weeks Crazy4Challenges challenge. This weeks challenge is to use the word “Love“ or to have a heart on our cards. I have used the word love 3 times and I have several hearts. Fun fact this is the first Interactive card I made using Karen Burniston dies, and as you can see by my blog it was only the beginning. Back then I wasn’t doing a blog post so I don’t have as many photos of the progress but I will do my best to explain. I am a firm believer in using what you have, you may not have exactly what I have or maybe can’t even get exactly what I have but that doesn’t mean you can’t use this card as a starting point to create something of your own. I am adding some suggestions for alternate options below.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

The cardstock used for this card is Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Riding hood Red, and the printed paper is retired Stampin Up paper. There are other print papers around, or you can use a print stamp and stamp on to white or a vanilla card stock.

The dieset used is the Accordion Oval dieset from Karen Burniston that is unfortunately no longer available, Karen has a couple of other Accordion diesets to choose from. Here is her assembly VIDEO

The nice thing about accordion cards is you can make them as short or as long as like. You just need to cut out as many panels that you need. I used the same die set to cut out the frames and the ovals.

Poppy the penguin is technically no longer available but I have seen him on eBay. Karen Burniston has a smaller penguin in her Winter Animals die set. There is also a Penguin sold by Elizabeth Craft design that I think is roughly the same size.

I actually cut the printed paper sideways, but decided to keep it, I used a sponged to ink red and black ink around the edges.

The words are all from the same retired Stampin Up set.

I decorated all the panels.

Thanks for joining me! I am a paper crafting enthusiast who has a special interest in interactive cards. I get a lot of inspiration from the internet so I thought that I  would throw out my own creations with hope that it inspires someone else.
