Triple Spin card- Halloween Haunted Mansion

This was almost the card I was going to post for last weeks designer challenge as the theme was Halloweenor or Fall but I decided that Inwanted to be different than the rest and go with fall. Back in July Karen Burniston made a card using the Spinner Square dieset, where she used it THREE TIMES on one card, to make a “Triple Square Spinner Card”. I absolutely love when she teaches new ways to use dies that I already have. But anyone who knows me knows that I challenge myself to find a way to put my own spin (yes the pun was intended) on it, so instead of squares I decided to make a giant Haunted Mansion. This is what I came up with.

With this technique not only does the haunted mansion pop up but the bats, and the “boo” swing from left to right, and the ghost swings from right to left. Sew Glad We’re Friends

It’s Sew much fun playing with new die sets, and the new Sewing Charms are super cute. I decided to use this set on a pink monochromatic Circle Tag book card. I thought it would be cute to have the thread from the spool on the front wind all the way through from the front to the back.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

Mischievous Gnomes

This card cracks me up 😂, I was having so much fun I made 2. This started as a birthday card for my brother who has a long-standing dislike of garden gnomes, sooo of course I had to make him a card using multiple gnomes. I was also trying to find a creative way to use the Mail Box pop up die set, and then it came to me to have the mischievous garden gnomes stealing the birthday cards from the mailbox. I thought of different ways to style them so they wouldn’t all look the same. My husband reminded me that my brother is a grown man and not to make it too childish but I knew my bro would get a kick out of it. The second one I added flowers to and few more fun details, I had a little more time to play with it.

For the first card I made my brother I wanted the inside to be a surprise so I didn’t add any gnomes to the front, I just teased with the hat.

For the second card, I added a scene to the front, and I thought it would a good idea to have a place to write a message on the back. I didn’t think to add it to my brothers card until after I signed the inside and had mailed it.

There are a lot of moving parts on this card, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

Santa’s Little Helper

Today I have a Christmas card that I made using some more of Karen Burnistons NEW RELEASE. The main die set I used is the Fireplace Pop-up, and I also used the Fireplace Extras 1 (Christmas themed) and Fireplace Extras 2. There are so many pieces in these sets that the possibilities are endless as they can’t also mix and match with other prereleased sets. This is the card that I came up with.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.
