Hello, a little late today but here I am. Apparently yesterday was Book Lovers Day so this weeks Crazy For Challenges challenge is to get inspiration from a book. I cheated a little this week, if you are following me you may remember that I posted Whomping Good Day card back in June. When I posted that card I had a special request to make another so my challenge to myself was to make this card different than the last one. In many ways it is similar but there are still a few ways in which it is different.
to see a video of this card in movement check out my face book page, also feel free to join if you would like share your creations 🙂 https://www.facebook.com/groups/MyMessyCraftroom/

To make this card I used a few of dies from Karen Burniston. I used the Castle Pop-Up, Palm Tree Pop-Up, and the Tree Pop up die sets.
I also used and was inspired by Karen’s Autumn Trees pop up video on how to use the 2 different tree sets to make up the pop up feature. I recommend watching her video if you want to make this style of pop up tree.
The cardstock used is from Stampin up and the colours will be listed in the instructions, the paper is from my crazy paper stash (sorry not organized at all) and I used black fine grit sandpaper to give the castle some texture.

To cut out the greeting I used Silver Cardstock and a die from my Thrift store stash

the “Life is Better with Friends” sentiments suits this scene quite well
The house flags were cut out of Real Red, Crushed Curry, Pacific Pointe & Shaded Spruce.
