Last year was Jason, this year its Freddy. My brother loves horror movies and I’ve been enjoying making him these birthday cards, my head is already thinking of what to do next year.

Hello crafty friends, I know I’ve been MIA for the last while, I’ve had the craziest month, that included some technical difficulties. I have my card for Karen Burnistons design team October challenge which was “haunted location”, and I came up with a haunted Castle. I’m writing this blog post from my car, so it’s not going to be much of a post ☹️. But I plan on completing this post within the week (hopefully my tech issues are resolved)******EDIT******* blog post is now complete
Here is my HAUNTED CASTLE card 👻
See you soon with links and instructions…..

Hello, hello, its that time again Crafty Friends, today I have my September Karen Burniston Design Team challenge card. This months challenge is “four seasons” and we had to incorporate 4 seasons in our cards. In Karen “Seasons” stamp set there are stamps the say “seasons change”, “and love remains” which I thought would be perfect for an anniversary card.

I had so much fun playing Craft Roulette this week, especially since Karen Burniston was the guest. I don’t typically play when the episode is live but this week I at least got to start my card while the show was live, I worked on it a bit Saturday but didn’t get the chance to finish until Sunday. Here is my card along with this weeks parameters.
As always I also try to add my own challenges which are to 1- make it interactive/pop up, 2-use a dieset I haven’t used before, and 3- to use a die set I haven’t used in a while. This is how I met all of the parameters…
The Flowers Pivot Panels is the die set I have never used before, Wordset 14- Hugs is the dieset I haven’t used in a while. I used a small gift card-sized envelope ( I bought from Amazon) to make the “Faux Envelope”, I used Strawberry colours, I have yellow strings on the front and the inside, and I have several Flowers overlapping on the front.

I was sooooo EXCITED when Karen came out with music notes in her last release, for those who follow along on the Karen Burniston Pop-up Peeps page know the music notes have been a popular request. For the August design team challenge we were given the challenge “Let the Music Play”. For design team challenges I try to find a way to mix some of the newer released items with some of the previously released items and for this card I am using the previously released Pop’n Swap with the new Piano Keys Pop up, and the new Music Charms
