Hello Birthday Bouquet

Ok, so I’m a bit late with this post, I did have the Craft Roulette card done in time for the challenge, just didn’t get the blog post done until now. The Craft Roulette parameters are ⬇️. I was also greatly inspired by Sandy Diller’s Card, she created a beautiful bouquet that I just wanted to give a try.

I know I did a vellum shaker last week, but I really loved how it looked and the supplies were still on my “mesk” so I went for it again. The “circle” on my project is the large shaker on the front, the “Wizard of Oz” colours are – ruby RED slippers, emerald city GREEN, YELOW brick road, Dorthys BLUE dress, and Glindas PINK dress, Tin Man’s SILVER, and the movie starts in BLACK & WHITE. The wagon is something that can be found “on the road”, and I added wings with the butterfly.

Champagne Birthday

When I saw this paper I knew if I teamed it up with this die-set it would make a fun masculine birthday card, and I think I was right. I needed a birthday card for my son who was turning 24 on the 24th that’s what makes it a champagne 🥂 birthday (in case you were wondering what a champagne birthday is 🥂 🎂)

For anyone who typically follows me you may notice that I will be making a few changes. I am trying to stream line my blogging a bit as I am finding it quite time-consuming. I have decided that since the majority of my cards, I use die sets from Karen Burnkston. Karen makes amazing videos, so if she has a video that explains the assembly of her mechanism or other dies I will link it. I will still give dimensions and helpful hints, and will definitely still explain any changes I make or other important info. The links I share are to her product page for that item, scroll down the page and she has video directions. Because of these changes I will add the links as I work my way through the post instead of at the end. So there in no mix up on what dies I used for each steps.

Merry Little Twist Panel Cocktail sneak peek card

SURPRISE!!!! It’s a February mini-release, and it is so fun. It definitely has a beachy feel but the Little Twist Panel is very generic and can be used for any occasion.

A perk to being on Karen Buristons design team is we get the diesets in advance so we can have plenty of cards made in time for the sneak peek, so the day I got them I could not wait to play. Even though this is a Christmas card it could easily be made into a birthday, anniversary, just about anything.

Little Twist panel Valentines- sneak peek

Surprise, I had so much fun with this release I have 2 cards 2 days in a row 😀 I really wasn’t thinking when I was sitting down writing my blogs so I have 2 Little Twist Panel cards in a row. The Valentine’s cards had to be posted on Valentines Day, and I already had the other post all typed out. The previous card (if you missed it) was showing 2 mechanisms in a slimline card, this post shows 1 mechanism in a cute little square note card, like I said, this set is so versatile.

I thought this die set would make adorable valentines, and I was right, these are so cute, they are only 4 1/4” square and these Little Twist Panel mechanisms work perfectly. I could have actually made them even smaller if I wanted to but I also want to use the largest square crosshatch to cut the layers for the front inside and back and they are 4 1/8th Square. According to Karen B, you can fit this mechanism inside a 3 1/2” square card 🤯 I decided to make 2 cards using the same materials but opposite of each other.
