Who doesn’t love monkeys, and these cheeky monkeys make a really cute card. When I made the Pushing Up Daisies card, I thought the mechanism was so fun that I had to do another, but I wanted to do something other than flowers sooooo I thought a swinging monkey would be adorable. Again I have to give credit to Laura Dovalo as if it were not for her Video this card wouldn’t have came to be, and this card makes me happy.
Quick side note-Wordpress has changed some of their editing and formatting, and I’m still trying to figure it out, I can’t edit my links so there may not be as many of them. Also apologies over the overall look, there are spaces where there shouldn’t be and alignment is way off , not lovin the update, I had A LOT of difficulties tonight. Anyway, on with the show ….
This card was as fun to make as it was frustrating, if you read through you will see how even if you make mistakes along the way (and I made a few with this one) it is still possible to have a really great card in the end, just fix your mistake and move on to the next step. This card wouldn’t have been possible without this amazing video tutorial https://youtu.be/lvbe8unPQZE from Laura Dovalo https://www.youtube.com/user/ladovalo/videos. I recommend watching her video if you plan on making this card as it is a little tricky, but great interactive card at the end.
It’s C4C day and today’s challenge is to make a Christmas card, Honestly I have a hard time making Christmas this far in advance, I see people chatting about starting their Christmas cards early so they aren’t so rushed closer to the season but for some reason my brain does not really want to go there. I had actually jumped ahead and did next week’s card first and I still had some of the paper still sitting on my work table. I had originally thought I would water colour my card for next week but hadn’t so my palette with inks in it and paintbrush were still there so I played with it and a piece of watercolour paper, I grabbed my favourite snowflake stamp set, a KB die set and away I went.

Monkeys make everything more fun, don’t you think? This is a card that I made for my niece for her Birthday. She had quite the surprise when she opened it. 🙂
