Happy Birthday Bro LOL

Hahahaha this card makes me laugh, it is the birthday card that I made my little brother (in August 😊) who………. HATES garden gnomes 😂 Ever since he was a child he hated garden gnomes, so being the loving older sister I just had to make him this card for his birthday. My only regret was I had to mail it so I didn’t get to see his reaction 😂 This is my Second Garden Gnome, check HERE if you would like to see my first one.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

I picked my paper from different sections of my paper stash. The Real Red cardstock, the striped patterned paper (retired), and the Blush Blossom (retired) are from Stampin Up, I also used Early Espresso, Island Indigo, White, Wild Wasabi, River Rock (retired) are also from Stampin up. The blue cardstock is Color Core cardstock which I roughed up with an emmory board to distress them. The green patterned paper is from my stash.

To make this pop up I used Karen Burnistons Surprise Ball Pop up dieset and I followed her VIDEO tutorial to make the Gnome. I took photos of the process for reference but it’s hard to explain in words, I recommend watching Karen’s Video

Now to make the beard, The die I used below is from the Karen Burnistons Flap and Closure dieset. I like to use 2 adhesive when adding the hair. I use a cheap tape (that’s all I can get locally) so it holds the yarn in place while the liquid (Neutral PH adhesive from Lineco) has time to dry.

To make the hat I used Wonky Stitched Square from My favourite Things.

Here comes the hair.

The tree dieset is Karen Burnistons Tree Pop Up die set. I bought the fence and clouds second hand so I am not sure where they came from, the hills I actually cut freehand.

How to make the closure…. the magnets I bought cheap ages ago, I believe from Amazon.

Somewhere along the way I gave my gnome some googley eyes.
