Boho Congratulations- slimline,shaker, popup card

Sometimes I get special requests, and this card was a very special request. It is a graduation card from a mother to her daughter. I asked if there were colours or a style and she asked for a Boho style and sent me a photo of her daughters dress, which was a beautiful shade of blue. I chose to go with mostly neutral colours so the blue pieces would pop. I wanted to make it extra special so I have a borderless shaker card on the inside which is also visible from the peek a boo window on the front, and I added another see through shaker on the pop up mechanism on the inside. This is what I came up with.

Floating Cupcake Birthday card

What’s a birthday without a cupcake, or 2, or 6? I thought it would be fun to mix and match a couple of diesets while playing Craft Roulette and yes (as the title describes) the cupcakes on the front really float well they look like they float.

This weeks parameters are

So it’s obviously a birthday card, picnic colours (sky blue, green grass, red and orange for fruit that would be had at a picnic and of course CUPCAKES, I have a collection of cupcakes, and spots lol. For the black dots there are black circles in the patterned paper, there is a… on the inside message and I drew a couple of dots on the signature space.

Gardening Gnomes

It’s sneak peek week and I am LOVING these new dies.

I really appreciate how versatile Karen makes her dies, and how new sets work so well with previously released sets and this set is a perfect example. When I saw this new fence die I knew that it would make the perfect background for this fun garden scene using the beautiful flowers from the new fence set as well as beautiful flowers from another new set and previous dies (I will list them below as I go) there will also be some better close up photos below as well.

Happy Birthday Cookie card

Yayyyyyy today is the day. Today is Karen Burnistons sneak peek for her June collection, and to say I have been having soooooo much fun with this release would be an understatement. I hope you all love it as much as I do.

I have been having so much fun with these new dies, I can’t decide which card to post first. As I’m writing this blog post this card is in the running. It is a fun mix of new and previously released dies, and if you like to bake, or have a baking loved one this set is a must. I also will explain how I made some of the other elements that I created to complete the scene.

Touch of gold, Birthday Card

So apparently Craft Roulette is going to be a thing now lol. It is pretty fun, and a great way to come up with cards that you may not have. This week’s parameters were to 1- make an Easel card, 2- colours that you would find in a cornucopia, 3- rhyme with “ake” and 4- has to have something gold on it. So I have a slimline with an easel feature on one side, I used red, gold, yellow, and green. I have a slice of “cake”, I have a gold thread around the easel with a bow, and pulling double duty I have “Gold Flakes” used as confetti
