Gardening Gnomes

It’s sneak peek week and I am LOVING these new dies.

I really appreciate how versatile Karen makes her dies, and how new sets work so well with previously released sets and this set is a perfect example. When I saw this new fence die I knew that it would make the perfect background for this fun garden scene using the beautiful flowers from the new fence set as well as beautiful flowers from another new set and previous dies (I will list them below as I go) there will also be some better close up photos below as well.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

1 a- I die cut pieces from multiple sets. The blue and purple flowers and the daisies are from the new Fence Add on set, the yellow and orange flowers are from the new Fun Flowers and they match the flowers from the Flip Frame Pop up. The red tulips and all the gardening tools are from the Garden Charms. The large yellow Black Eyes Susans are from the Back Yard Charms

B- I used a Versa Mark Marker (I found one on Amazon) and a white gel pen to add shadows and highlights to the die-cuts to add dimension.

C- the left side without shading and highlights, the right side with shading and highlights

D- I used a Versa Mark marker, White gel pen and a black fine tip pen to add details to the garden tools and flower pots.

2a- die cut Tiny Gnomes from multiple colours

B- I assemble a bunch of gnomes, and added details, shadows, and highlights with the same pens.

C- I cut a small hat in half, and used the top part to make an arm. Add a tool, and a hand to complete the look.

3- the small frame is from the Landscape Rectangle Accordion and the large frame is from the Slim Frames die set. I used Word set 10 Thinking of You, and “friend” is from Word set 1- Greetings

4-cut 4 fences from the Fence Add on , I sponged the edges with grey ink

5- die cut 4 rectangles panels from the Landscape Rectangle Accordion , I also ran them through a second time to get the embossed frame. Trim as shown.

6- add the fences to the panels, and decorate.

Close ups of all the panels

7 a- I found the frames to be a little flimsy so I cut 4 more to add to the back sides.

B- I had to cut a corner on the inside panels so the could get around the fences.

C- front and backs after assembled.
