Sunset Sympathy Card

Like I have said in the past, I find making sympathy cards difficult, sometimes I will make them and put them away for when they are needed. This is a pretty one I had put away that I recently and to give away.

To make this sunset background I used a brayer, and I used watercolor paper. I started with Daffodil Delight Ink and I brayered the bottom of the watercolor paper. Next, I brayered More Mustard, starting from the top and coming down to just over half, and then I used Cajun Craze and brayered down about 1/4 of the way down from the top. I used a sponge and added a little Cajun Craze around the outside edges of the cardstock. To finish off the panel I made a spritz out of Glimmer paint and rubbing alcohol and spritzed the imaged to give it a little bit of shimmer.

I used a daisy silhouette stamp to stamp the daisies. Because the watercolor paper was rough I wasn’t able to get a good clean image of the stamp, so I used a paintbrush and black craft ink and painted over the daisies to make them solid. I finished the panel off by stamping the Sympathy sentiment.

The watercolor panel was added to a black matt that was 1/4″ bigger than the panel. Then I adhered that to a More Mustard card base.
