Golden Anniversary Triple Collage Pop up

When I found out that family friends of ours would be celebrating their Golden Wedding anniversary I knew exactly the card I wanted to make. A few months ago Karen Burniston made a card using three of the Heart Collage mechanism, I wanted to switch it up a little bit. I put the Photo collage mechanism in the middle (bigger mechanism) and a two heart collage mechanism on either sides (smaller mechanism) and I wanted gold, LOTS of gold.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page. Die sets will be listed at the bottom of this post.

Triple Spin card- Halloween Haunted Mansion

This was almost the card I was going to post for last weeks designer challenge as the theme was Halloweenor or Fall but I decided that Inwanted to be different than the rest and go with fall. Back in July Karen Burniston made a card using the Spinner Square dieset, where she used it THREE TIMES on one card, to make a β€œTriple Square Spinner Card”. I absolutely love when she teaches new ways to use dies that I already have. But anyone who knows me knows that I challenge myself to find a way to put my own spin (yes the pun was intended) on it, so instead of squares I decided to make a giant Haunted Mansion. This is what I came up with.

With this technique not only does the haunted mansion pop up but the bats, and the β€œboo” swing from left to right, and the ghost swings from right to left. October Designer Challenge- Fall Garden Bench card

Yay, its that time again, it’s the Karen Burniston October Designer challenge, and this month’s challenge is to make either a Halloween card or a Fall-themed card and I went with a fall-themed card. I have a co-worker who needed an anniversary card, and he also was requesting a card with fall colours, there was also talk of there possibly being a wooden bench swing for a gift so I challenged myself to make the Karen Buriston Garden Bench popup into a swing, and the results turned out better than I thought it would.

Supplies are listed at the bottom

Sew Glad We’re Friends

It’s Sew much fun playing with new die sets, and the new Sewing Charms are super cute. I decided to use this set on a pink monochromatic Circle Tag book card. I thought it would be cute to have the thread from the spool on the front wind all the way through from the front to the back.
