“Pink Black-Eyed Susan” ๐ŸŒบ Birthday card

Well, I have another fun technique today, Believe it or not, the stamp used for this card is a silhouette stamp, not a lined detail stamp. It was pretty easy to add the colour and a little bit of detail to make these flowers look like they were hand painted as opposed to stamped. This is a technique that I learned quite a few years ago when I used to be a Stampin’ UP demonstrator. It gives a much different look to stamps you may already have in your stash.

“the Blues” Sympathy Card

Sympathy cards are not my favourite to make, but I try to have a few in my box to have on hand when needed. To make this card I used the “Ghosting” technique (no pun intended). This technique gives a soft image (see the white flowers) and depending on the colours or effect you are looking for you can decide on whether you only want a subtle 2toned effect or if you want to add another colour (see darker blue flowers) to add more contrast.

My Naughty Valentine

Sooo this card started off as a joke, It’s a little on the corny naughty side so if you are easily offended this card may not be for you. So a friend and I were tossing around ideas for a card for me to make for her to give her boyfriend for Valentines day, well we got searching on google and came across a cartoon version of this card (isn’t Google great, card will be posted at the end of the post) well we both laughed because her boyfriend is a carpenter, and she thought he’d think it’s funny so away I went to my paper room. You can’t tell in the photo but this is an interactive card, the hammer actually swings up and down.

I โค๏ธ U

Valentines is only a few days away so I thought I would post another Valentine from my card box. I wish I could take full credit for this card but I got the original idea from a card challenge I was a part of back in 2010 ๐Ÿ˜ณ. It was called a Featured Stamper challenge from Stampin Connection, and the challenge was to look through the featured stampers posts, find something to use as an inspiration and share what we came up with. Lisa Young was the featured artist and I really liked how she cut the petals of the flower to make a heart she said she got the flower idea from a craft magazine. The colours and embossing were how I changed it up to make it my own.

Double Embossed Valentine

What’s black, and white and red all over……. ๐Ÿค” this fun Valentines Day card. It may be hard to see in the photo but the black and white sections of this card are not made with patterned paperย  ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I know, shocker right. I really like how the red pop against the black and white, but if I had to do this card over again I would use a wider red ribbon to add a little more pop.
