Sooo this card started off as a joke, It’s a little on the corny naughty side so if you are easily offended this card may not be for you. So a friend and I were tossing around ideas for a card for me to make for her to give her boyfriend for Valentines day, well we got searching on google and came across a cartoon version of this card (isn’t Google great, card will be posted at the end of the post) well we both laughed because her boyfriend is a carpenter, and she thought he’d think it’s funny so away I went to my paper room. You can’t tell in the photo but this is an interactive card, the hammer actually swings up and down.

What makes this card so fun is the interactive feature, and I was able to achieve this by using the Spinner Square Pop up die set from Karen Burniston, she has an awesome video tutorial which can be seen here https://youtu.be/746ua64f5mU
The cardstock I used for this card is from Stampin’ Up, the colours used are Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Cherry Cobbler, Going Grey. The Wood Grain paper is also from SU.
I used nesting Heart dies for all the hearts that are on the card. The polka dot paper is from my stash, I believe it was from Costco.
The hammer and the nails were hand-drawn and then I cut them out with my Scan N Cut.
I used Stampin Dimensionals under the big heart on the front, I also put one under the little heart on the front of the card.
definitely cute!
