Take the Shot

So many fun new dies, I wasn’t sure where to start. But when I saw the new Game Charms charms, with the 8 Ball I knew I wanted to make a pool table with all the balls. I thought using the Photo Collage Pop up would give the impression of the balls breaking.

Happy Birthday Cookie card

Yayyyyyy today is the day. Today is Karen Burnistons sneak peek for her June collection, and to say I have been having soooooo much fun with this release would be an understatement. I hope you all love it as much as I do.

I have been having so much fun with these new dies, I can’t decide which card to post first. As I’m writing this blog post this card is in the running. It is a fun mix of new and previously released dies, and if you like to bake, or have a baking loved one this set is a must. I also will explain how I made some of the other elements that I created to complete the scene.

Rainbow Balloons Birthday

Well, I got the card done by the deadline but the blog post took a couple of extra days. I’ve been busy busy busy making cards for the Karen Burniston June Release but I was able to sneak in a Craft Roulette card

Here are this week’s parameters ⬇️

I took me a bit to wrap my brain about how I was going to meet the parameters but then it just clicked, and this is what I came up with.

Small Bag- the little hand bad the girl gnome is holding

Rainbow colours- throughout the card

Wheel- the greeting turns on the yellow wheel revealing 4 different messages

Shimmer- I used Wink of Stella to add glimmer to all the balloons and the girl gnomes.

Time for Tea- Thinking of you card

Are you a coffee or tea person? I’m a tea gal, in real life I would lose my mind if I found out that mice were playing in my tea cups, but I think they are super cute on paper. I used Craft Roulette parameters to make this card.

I have my flaps on the inside, they give a little extra room for writing a message. I’m not sure why but I often choose these colours when making winter scenes, it makes me think of icy cold. Children’s story had me stumped for a bit, for some reason the nursery rhyme “Three Blind Mice” got stuck in my head. Aren’t nursery rhymes short children’s stories? And last but not least “tiles” I have embossed tiles as the background for both the front and the inside. And of course my personal challenge of making it a pop up card.

Happy Houses

A little late this week, but we we go. I’ve been really busy working on cards that I can”t show off yet (the Karen Burniston June sneak peek starts June 19th) so I have Craft Roulette card to share. This weeks parameters were a bit easy so I decided to add the challenge of using diesets I have, but haven’t used before, and to chose paper from my stash, not the pretty new paper I used for last weeks challenge, even though it would have been perfect for this card. lol. Craft Roulette parameters ⬇️

I made a shorter slim line (than I typically make), I think the colours I used could be seen at a tea part, including black for tea, I used the “word” Hello, I have hand drawn lines throughout but they are more noticeable on the front label, I added the little white lines on the pattern paper and borders as well.
