Retro games pop up- C4C575

This card was actually a double challenge for me LOL. This weeks Crazy4Challenges challenge was to create a card using 2 or more stencils, the only problem is that I don’t own many stencils, I actually only have a few and most of them are OLD. So I decided to make my own stencils. On this card I used mostly retired products, I’ve been asked why I use retired products and…… that’s because that’s what I have. I am not on any company design teams so no freebies for me, and I believe in using what I have, and I can’t go out and buy everything I want (even though I wish I could) So maybe you won’t be able to copy this card completely but I do really hope you find some inspiration in this card in other ways.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

The cardstock used is mostly from Stampin Up and is listed below, I also used Chalkboard Sticker paper which I got from the Dollar store.

I started out making the card base.

I used some background dies that I bought second hand to make stencils.

I wanted the embossed sections to be a little subtle, so it is a clear embossing powder that is an iridescent blue on different angels. It is called Angel Wings Sapphire from Lindy’s Stamp Gang. I did the same technique to the inside as well.

I used stacked circles to add the greeting on the front. The centre die cut I also bought second hand 😬

The stamps below are from Kindred Stamps, I checked and they are no longer available but they have so many wonderful stamps you should really check them out. The cloud stencil is the only stencil I actually used. If you don’t have a cloud stencil you can use overlapping scalloped ovals.

I used the Flip Frame Pop up from Karen Burniston. I have photos below but I recommend checking out her Tutorial Video

All or nothing…. the stamps I found second as well.
