Happy Bbbirthday- C4C570

Here’s a card I quickly assembled for this weeks Crazy4Challenges challenge. February 5th is Weatherpersons Day so we had to make a card showing some type of weather. Funny thing is I really had no idea what I was going to, I wasn’t feeling particularly creative this week and as I walked down to my craft room I didn’t even have an idea of what I was going to do. I decided to flip through my embossing folders (which I don’t typically use) and I came across the one, I’ve actually never used it before but I thought it fit the theme just right.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

All the cardstock used in this card is from Stampin Up, the main colours are Bermuda Bay, and Coastal Cabana, the rest I grabbed from my scrap bin. The wood grain paper is also from Stampin Up. The ink pads I used are Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, and Bermuda Bay. The embossing folder was given to me and it is from Cuttle Bug. Not sure if it is still available.

I wanted to add a pop up feature, this Flip Frame Pop up is probably the easiest pop up mechanism there is, so I went with that.

I wanted the frame to be a shaker element, this how I made it.

I wanted to make this cute little snowman, I’ve been making him for years but I originally got the idea to make him from someone on Stampin Connection. (Sorry I didn’t make a note of it then)
