Textured Reindeer Christmas card-C4C510

*Here we go, rolling into week 2 of Hosting the Crazy4Challenges challenge blog. I love texture, sometimes it’s nice to have a card that you just want to touch, and sometimes it just adds that extra little touch, so this weeks challenge is to add texture to your card.

to see all the other textured cards made by the very talented design team just hop on over here C4C blog (posts Saturday Nov 9)

So this card has soo much texture, I just couldn’t help myself. The coloured cardstock is from Stampin Up, and some of the other cardstock was gifted to me so I’m not sure where it came from. The die set used for this card is the Upsy Daisy set from Karen Burniston as is the Rudy the Reindeer. The snowflake dies are all old Stampin Dies.

The textured cardstock used in the card was actually a stocking stuffer for me last year so I’m not sure where it came from, Santa’s workshop perhaps 🎅🏼 The glitter cardstock was given to me by a friend who was cleaning out her stash, score for me but again I’m not sure where it originally came from.

The wave die used below is a retired edge die from Karen Burniston.

Here comes a bit more texture as I dug out this velvet ribbon. It was too thick to actually tie into a bow soooo I made a faux bow……..

I am very lucky when it comes to fun materials to work with. I work at a furniture store so when we have fabric samples that are no longer needed I get to think of fun things to do with them. In this case I am using micro suede to make the reindeer.

Now for the inside. I am using the Upsy Daisy die set, I highly recommend watching Karen’s VIDEO as it really helps with the assembly, I didn’t add the squares like she did I added the snowflakes ❄️ right to the mechanism.

Thanks for joining me! I am a paper crafting enthusiast who has a special interest in interactive cards. I get a lot of inspiration from the internet so I thought that I  would throw out my own creations with hope that it inspires someone else.
