Hello again,

Today I thought that I would share a card with a beachy theme. It’s summer time and the beach is where I wish I was šŸ™‚

…..today’s card uses Karen Burniston’s Adirondack chair die, previously licensed by Elizabeth Craft Design but will be will be making a comeback in Sept/18 by Karen Burniston in cahoots with Riley and Company (check out her website, she has some really fun stuff) All the card stock, ink, embossing folder, “happy” die, and birthday stamp are all from Stampin Up.

I used a brayer technique to create the water and the sky. I started with the Pool Part ink and brayered up 2/3 of the bottom of the card, then I used the Coastal Cabana and brayered about half way up then  I used the Bahama Bay and brayered about a 1/4 up from the bottom. I used a sponge to sponge the Whisper white pigment ink along the shore line to create the look of crashing waves. For the sky I did the same thing in reverse using the inks Soft Sky, Marina Mist, and Pacific point..

The sea shell was stamped first, coloured, then masked before using the brayer.

To create the Chair pop up, it is best to follow Karen’s tutorial on Youtube  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NzNGnSvs54   (if the link does’t work just search “Adirondack chair card” and the tutorial should come up, Whiskers the cat is sitting on the chair in the video so it is easy to spot šŸ™‚

Thanks for joining me! I am a paper crafting enthusiast who has a special interest in interactive cards. I get a lot of inspiration from the internet so I thought that IĀ  would throw out my own creations with hope that it inspires someone else.
