Pop up, Shaker, 50th Birthday card-C4C502

*I’ve been pretty busy the last few weeks making some pretty detailed cards, so it has been difficult to actually blog, stay tuned there are some interesting cards coming ( I also work full time)but here is one I am finally able to post. It is the weekend so that means it’s time for the Crazy4Challenges challenge and I created this card for that challenge. So apparently September 15th is International Dot day, so the challenge was to incorporate dots into my design. Some are obvious and some are so itty bitty you may not notice unless I point them out, But they are there. This card was a special request from my coworker Katherine to her sister, and some of the little elements added were suggestions from Katherine to make the card a little more personal. so here we go, can you see all the dots…

To see the other wonderful dotted creations please check this out C4C Blog Posts Saturday 😀

SHHH dads belated Birthday card-C4C486

*Crazy 4 Challenges day and the theme this week is to create a card using a wood element, it can be wood grain, wood paper, embossing folders or veneer shapes. I started off with the wood patterned paper and then I found some veneer shapes I TOTALLY forgot I had. I knew I wanted to do this chair for my Dads birthday card and I was able to picture it in my head with the cup of coffee and the crossword book (if you know my dad you know he likes nothing more than sitting outside in the fresh air with his coffee and crosswords) but it’s kind of funny how the whole card came to be, as it wasn’t exactly all planned out lol

“Double Cascading Tag Anniversary Card”

WOW, how’s that for a title. This is another card that I made for a friend to give to her parents for their anniversary. I know some of the panels seem a little random but I will try my best to explain. The mountain scene is a reference to their Honey Moon in the mountains, the little house with the birdhouses is something that the happy couple has in their yard. They work together to make and hang these pretty little birdhouses all over their little garden shed. The last picture is the happy couple just sitting and enjoying each others company. The blank pages are for their children, and their families to sign. This card has already been given and it is my understanding that they quite enjoyed it.

“Chillin Chihuahua”

Good day all, this card was a request, I had a lady who wanted me to make a card for her daughter. Usually, when I make a requested card I ask for a few ideas so I can make the card more personal. Well, this person requested a “yellow Birthday card, with yellow flowers, a yellow lawn chair, a tree with yellow flowers, a brown and black chihuahua, and the number 43 had to be on it, and white candles. I got everything but the white candles lol.  The Butterfly on the front is covering up a glue boo boo, (I wasn’t starting this card over because of a little glue.)
