Santa Clauses are Coming to Town

I can’t believe we haven’t even gotten past Halloween yet and I’m already stressed about Christmas cards. So when this week Craft Roulette parameters came up I knew I was making a Christmas card. This weeks parameters ⬇️

This is the card I made, I used Kraft, Vanilla, and red cardstock, the β€œnot cardstock” pieces are the acetate, the patterned paper, the ribbon, and the glitter. Santas work shop colours, I’m sure there would be wrapping paper in Santas work shop and my colours match the wrapping paper in the front. Santas coat would have a collar even though his beard is in the way. I added gold bow collars on the itty bitty Teddy Bear, and last but not least I used a Zig Zag ribbon on the inside borders.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

Trick or Treaters

What is Halloween with out Trick or Treaters, I wanted to make a couple of cute cards, not too spooky as they are for my young grandchildren, so I’m leaning a little to the cute side. I thought it would be fun to put a new spin on these Halloween dies and make them look like they are costumes.

Touch of Gold Get Well Soon

Yay I got to play Craft Roulette this week and and I really love how this card turned out. I wanted to make a pretty card for a young lady who will be recovering from a surgery and I hope this card cheers her up.

Here are this weeks parameters ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

This is how I worked in the parameters. The borders are all side pockets with ribbon peaking out, I also have a gift card pocket on the back. To me spring colours scream fresh and clean Rhymes with β€œool” is Jewel and I have them sprinkled throughout the card. I used a brick embossing folder sideways to make columns in the background.

Just Turn on the lights

This card, my goodness, has been in progress for months. Someone (John Watterson) platted the seed in my head after I posted my first House of cards Castle and asked when I would make a Harry Potter version. I laughed and said it would be a while. So I started in a few months ago and I decided to that it was time to get it done. Part of my problem was, that I knew I wanted to make it but I wasn’t sure for who. So I decided to make it for me. This quote has always resonated something in me, from the first time I heard it. I thought I would pull out all the stops, and make a card that I can enjoy for myself. So I did.

While making the card I didn’t take photos of every detail, I did a bunch of fussy cutting dies to make the different pieces. I did use mostly Karen Burnistons diesets. I don’t want to take a month to make this post so I will give the card base and Castle details but I may miss a few things. If I am missing something that you want to know please message me and I will reply.

Ooohhhhh it’s that time of year, and as we are gearing up for Halloween we have a Halloween themed challenge for the October Karen Burniston Design team monthly challenge. Our challenge was to have at least one Jack-o-Lateran on our cards. I have a few, but I also decided to make one of them the closure for my card πŸŽƒ
