Whomping Great day

Every once in a while I make a card that I get really excited about and I can’t wait to share but have to wait because I don’t want the recipient to see it before they get it. This is one of those cards. My niece and nephew are both Potter Heads and even though the card is for one of them I knew they would both be excited when they saw it. My challenge to myself was also was to make a Harry Potter Card different than the CARD I made last year and I think I succeeded πŸ˜€ πŸ§™πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

Friend to Friend-Sketch Challenge C4C488

Today is Crazy4Challenges day and it is a Sketch Challenge. I was in the middle of making Fathers Days cards and I just couldn’t come up with a Fathers Day card for this sketch, I think the bow and the scallops just had my mind leaning towards a more feminine card, then I got a call from a very dear friend who just called to see how I was doing, so I thought that I would make this card for her.

This is the sketch for the challenge

Oldie but Goodie Fathers Day card

Sooooo, I had to dig into my old cards once again, it’s hard to post new Fathers Day cards on the internet when all my new cards are meant to go to someone and they are supposed to be a surprise. I found this card, it uses an old technique that I haven’t used in years, it gives a marble look to a background and is quite easy and fun to do, so I thought that I would share. If you try this technique, different colours give different results, if you use shades of brown or grey it can actually look like stone.
