I have been anxiously waiting to make this post. I had this idea for making a big sandcastle out of the “Woven Basket” die set and the “Castle Pop up” for a while now and I had to wait for this week’s Crazy4Challenges challenge to post it because you guest it, this weeks challenge is to make a card incorporating a sand castle, apparently its “Sandcastle Day” so get out there and hit the beach or craft room and make a sandcastle everybody.
If your wondering what I mean by “lake beach”, I grew up in a town on the North shore of Lake Huron, and although all the “Ocean beach” cards with their crabs and palm trees are quite lovely , I’m more likely to see frogs and cattails near the beaches I’m used to, so this card is dedicated to my home town of Blind River. Miss you like crazy especially when it’s this hot out.
I can’t get enough of these 3-D roses, they make a card really special, and this was a card for a very special girl, my daughter. This was a card I made for her quite a few years back and it is still a favorite.
This 3-d roses card was so fun to make and so impressive to give, and it really wasn’t that hard to create. The only problem is that it doesn’t fit in an envelope so it is a little difficult to mail, I have only given them in person but it could be sent in a small box if need be.
