Circle Tagbook Slimline Valentine- C4C571

Happy Valentines Day, I’m so sorry that my Crazy4Challenges challenge card wasn’t posted on Friday, I’ve had a hectic week and I wasn’t able to get the post done. This is a card that I made by request and it just happened to fit the C4C challenge which was to make a interactive/fun fold Slimline card. This is what I came up with

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

To see the rest of the beautiful cards by the very talented design team please check this out C4C blog

The card stock is from Stampin Up and the patterned paper is from my stash. The colours used are Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Mellow Moss, So Saffron, Handsome Hunter, and the red paper is from my stash and matches the red on the dots on the patterned paper.

Bellow are the dimensions of all the cardstock and patterned paper used. If I made this card again I would have cut 4 of the Vanilla pieces that are 3 1/2” x 8 1/2” and not any of the other sizes, because I could have adhered all the long pieces then the medium sized pattered paper, then the mechanism, then the patterned short pieces, it would have turned out nicer (I have photos a few steps below that show better)

I used the Circle Tagbook dieset to cut the pieces, I have blogged these directions several times, (I will link them all at the bottom of this post) so this time I just have photos and Karen Burnistons Video Tutorial

As mentioned above, you can see the lines where the vanilla pieces meet, it would have been nicer with out the lines showing.

All the different circles were cut using the dies from the Circle Tag book dieset, the swirls are from the Swirls Pattern Plate, the hearts I pulled from Random die sets so I would have many shapes and sizes.

The Happy Valentines Day is a Karen Burniston die and the XOXO comes from her Word set 9- Love set.

I tend to not pay attention as I go, soooooo I ended up with a dreaded catch point ☹️ check out how I fixed it

Finally I added a few clear bubbles randomly around the front and inside.
