PAC-MAN scrap book page-C4C550 πŸ˜€πŸ‘»πŸ‘»πŸ‘»

Sooooo I’m cheating a bit this week. I started a post that I’m not done yet, and I really wanted to add a card to this weeks Crazy4Challenges challenge so I had to dig out an older project and pull together a quick post. This weeks challenge was β€œto go Retro” and we were to interpret β€œretro” anyway we wanted. What’s more retro than Pac-Man? I remembered that I made a special scrap book for my nephew (it’s a photo/year growth chart scrapbook) and I made a Pac-Man page to add his 9th birthday photo to and I thought it would fit the theme. The size is 6”x6” so this would also make a good card.

I made this page years ago, before I started blogging so I will describe it as well as I can. All the cardstock is from Stampin Up, and the colours I used are, Basic Black, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Pretty in Pink, Pool Party, and a little bit of Whisper White. I originally got the idea from a similar page by Crystal Lee from the Stampin Connections page from when I was a Stampin Up demo.

The page is 6” x 6” in black and the photo square is roughly 3” x 3”. I used a scalloped circle and cut it pie shaped and added the number 9. I added it to the bottom corners with foam adhesive only along the sides. When the photo is added the bottom right corner will tuck behind the # 9

Pac-Man is a circle punch with a pie piece cut out.

To make the ghosts, first I used a tag punch and then I took the tag that I punched out and slipped the bottom of the tag into a scalloped circle punch and punched out only the bottom to give it the shape. The eyes are little circle punched but could easily be changed to googly eyes.

To make the walls I punched the black parts with with a β€œWord Window” punch then I trimmed the blue strips slightly wider than the black, I used a circle punch to round the ends (I just slipped the one end in the punch) I connected them in different configurations to make the different walls. If you don’t have the β€œWord Window” punch then just cut a thin strip and use a small circle punch to round the ends.

To make the yellow dots I used an anywhere punch in the two sizes (the old style punch that you tapped with a hammer and it can punch a hole anywhere on a page) then I put yellow cardstock behind and the yellow shows through the holes. You could also punch little circles and glue them on individually.
