Shades of Autumn Wedding Card

It’s been a while since I’ve made a wedding card so I was happy to have the chance to make this one. The picture doesn’t do it justice, the paper frames are very intricate and add a lot of dimension to the card. I was inspired by the invitation and that’s how I chose the colours. Also on the back of the card is a pocket, as we were gifting cash to the newlyweds

White Wedding-C4C527

Ok, sorry I’ve been slow posting this week, I have a pretty big card in progress, it’s just taking a little longer than I thought to finish, but first I have this weeks Crazy4Challenges card to post. According to the Days of the year calendar, today is White Day, apparently in countries where Valentine’s Day is observed by women giving chocolates to those they love White day is the day they get the return on that investment, for our challenge this week we have to create a white on white card. I decided to make a Wedding card.

a Howarts Wedding card

*I am so excited to be sharing this card, I never thought I would have the opportunity to make a Harry Potter wedding card, so when the opportunity came up I decided that this should be a very special card. It took a lot of planning, and a lot of tweaking, but I was determined to find a way to make this big castle fold into a card. It turned out much better than expected and I am pleased to share how I did it with you.

World Travelling Wedding Wishes

I made this card a few weeks ago as a request for a friend. She needed a wedding card for her brother and his soon to be wife with a traveling theme. I had to ponder this one for a bit as I wasn’t quite sure what to do and how to make this a personalized card. Then I happened to look across my craft room at a book shelf and there it was, an Atlas that had sat on a shelf, unused for at least 20 years, I’m not even sure how hold it even is, my hubby is guessing 30ish. I thought long and hard before I started ripping pages out as I love books, I have always taken care of my books and part of my brain had a hard time committing to taking this one apart. I texted my friend and told her what I was considering and asked if there was any special places that she had in mind, well she passed on where they were, living, where they got engaged, places they have been and places they were planning on going so I made the decision and this is what I came up with.
