Wonderful Wicked Birthday

This card is my most favourite card of the year, or possibly ever. This card is for my sister and TODAYย  is her birthday. This card started off in my head as a fairly simple idea using this “Off to see the Wizard” stamp set ( the witch theme is an inside joke). Then I thought the rest of the characters should pop out the middle, then I thought wouldn’t it be fun to have the Witch of the West be able to pop in and out of the scene, then I thought the Good Witch should be in her bubble, then I thought I should add more glitter…….and more glitter……. and maybe some more glitter……………..and maybe some poppies……….and hey should the poppies have glitter?…….. my mind is often a very chaotic place when I’m card making. Lol

The glitter is hard to see but it’s there, and there is lots of it……..all of the yellow brick road, the ruby slippers, Tin Man, the bubble, the Good Witches dress, wand and crown, the Lions mane, the Scarecrows hair (not sure why I just thought it needed a little something ๐Ÿ˜†), and the Emerald City.

Have a โ€œSuperโ€ birthday

This is a cute one I made for my nephew a few years ago when he was in his superhero phase. I wish I could take full credit for these adorable characters but I actually got the idea from Laura Robison. When I created this card she had a website called http://www.hyperstamper.com which doesn’t seem to be active now if I ever find her again I will link to her new website.

To see another flip it card check this out https://mymessycraftroom.me/2018/10/03/circle-flip-it-card/

The first photo in which the card close, the second is with the left side open and the third picture is with both sides open.

Fall Baby Scrapbook pages

Here are a few more pages from a baby book I had made for family friends. It is the fall and Halloween pages.ย  I call it a growth chart book. I also give a Teddy bear with the book and for a year, every month and holiday the parents take a photo of baby with the bear and then they have a record of how much baby grew in their first year. Other pages can be found here https://mymessycraftroom.me/2018/08/31/monkey-fun/

โ€œThings I Loveโ€ punch art card

I had soooooo much fun making this card. This is another throwback and I believe my sister was the recipient if this card as she loves shoes and shopping and I thought she would get a kick out of this card. A few years ago before I had the extensive die collection that I have now if I wanted a fun character I had to create them and usually out of punches and cardstock. I would google and look up directions for every and any fun character I could find but this one is my creation, I actually created all the Disney princess at that time and I called them my faceless princesses. ( I will post them periodically). I recently found them on Pinterest but they were uploaded from SplitcoastStampers. SCS is a website that crafters can share their creations and I uploaded them to there, back in 2010 ๐Ÿ˜ฎ under the username nickel-pickle, feel free to check them out if you like (unable to create a link just search nickel-pickle on their website and it will show my creations from 2010 and my current creations, I took a break in the middle.
