You are My Sunshine – July Design Challenge

It’s time for the Karen Burniston design team challenge. This months challenge was to use one of the new diesets with a paper pack that was sent to each of the design team, I was happy to receive this beautiful Echo Park Best Summer Ever paper pack with stickers, and this is what I came up with.

Floating Cupcake Birthday card

What’s a birthday without a cupcake, or 2, or 6? I thought it would be fun to mix and match a couple of diesets while playing Craft Roulette and yes (as the title describes) the cupcakes on the front really float well they look like they float.

This weeks parameters are

So it’s obviously a birthday card, picnic colours (sky blue, green grass, red and orange for fruit that would be had at a picnic and of course CUPCAKES, I have a collection of cupcakes, and spots lol. For the black dots there are black circles in the patterned paper, there is a… on the inside message and I drew a couple of dots on the signature space.

House of cards, Uno style

Hello, hello, hello. So this is my second blog post using the new House of Cards pop up dieset, BUT it is the first House of Cards card that I made. I learned a few hard lessons, so I will give some advice and explain the mistakes that I made in hopes that you can learn from them, and have an easier time (I lost count of how many times I put it together and took it apart lol) Please make sure you watch Karen’s assembly video (at the link above) she gives the best tutorials, my blog is more of helpful tips and what not to do. In the Garden- Thinking of You

It’s been a few weeks, but I finally get to play an episode of Craft Roulette. I got to have fun using a few of the new diesets so this week is double the fun. Here are this weeks parameters

For see through I used clear plastic for the front, colours are Rustic Garden, so I made the whole card a garden. For fashion I dolled up my bunny, and I have hexagons on the front and 1/2 a hexagon on the inside for writing a message.

Take the Shot

So many fun new dies, I wasn’t sure where to start. But when I saw the new Game Charms charms, with the 8 Ball I knew I wanted to make a pool table with all the balls. I thought using the Photo Collage Pop up would give the impression of the balls breaking.
