Hello Beautiful

Hello, I’m a little late posting my Craft Roulette card this week, but here it is. This card turned out prettier than I thought it would. This weeks parameters are…

This is how I met the parameters, “Hello“ is part of the greeting on the front. The deep purple is a “robust” colour. Workplace is kind of a stretch but I do have flowers as decor around my workplace, or if I were a florist I’d be surrounded by flowers. And “Mixed Media” is the multiple products I used; paper, cardstock, gold Wink of Stella, clear Wink of Stella, clear bubbles, lace ribbon, gold string, Versa marker, and white gel pen. This is what I came up with….

Totally Epic Birthday card

So sort of a funny story behind this one. I needed a birthday card for my nephew. And I was going to make him a cupcake card. Who doesn’t love cupcakes. My husband asked me what kind of card I was making and how old was our nephew going to be. And he was like “you are not making our teenage nephew a cupcake card, your going to call you sister and find out what he is into and your going to make him a cool card”. So I did and she filled me in on a video game that I have never heard of before. Google saved me again. If you read the green letters, it spells the name of the video game.

Sweet Day – travel card

I have been looking for a reason to make a travel card and I thought this weeks Craft Roulette Card would be a good time. Karen Burniston made a Traveling Birthday Card a while back and I decide to make a card just to cheer up its recipients. Like the past few Craft Roulette challenges I also challenged myself to use a mechanism I haven’t used in a while and a die set I haven’t used before. Here are this weeks parameters…..

And this is how I met the parameters. It is an A2 sized card (which was a little hard for me as I usually make large cards), strawberry and chocolate ice cream colours. Who doesn’t love tasty ice cream, donuts or popcycles. And the squares are a hung banner. The Upsy Daisy Pop Up is a set I haven’t used in a while and the Sweet Treats Charms is the set that I haven’t used before.

Big Ears, Little Ears, and Chocolate Ears- March Design Team Challenge

“Bunny Ears“ that is the challenge that Karen Burniston gave the design team for this months design team challenge, and what a fun challenge. I’m such a goofy card maker because I never really have a full plan when I sit down to make my card. For this card I knew I was going to have the big bunny on the front, and I knew I wanted to use a mechanism that I haven’t used in a while so I chose the WaterFall Card. Next I chose the pretty patterned paper that was part of a long retired Stampin Up pack then the matching cardstock. Everything else fell into place as I went along, and this is what I came up up with.

**** and for those of you who like when I explain and fix my mistakes I have quite a few on this one lol.

Tea-riffic Day

Today’s the day, it’s Karen Burniston’s new release sneak peek, and it is such a fun release. I’m a tea drinker so I was really happy to see the borders and pop up.

I thought it would be so cute if I used pieces from the Tea and Coffee Borders, the Tea and Coffee Pop up, and Lorna Label to make this cute little girls Tea Party.
