Itโs that time, time for the May Karen Burnistons Design Team Challenge. This months challenge is โBejewelledโ , we need to incorporate something Shiny or Sparkly. I wanted to find a fun way to used the Swirls Pattern plate in a different way, I thought it would be pretty to make a swirly rainbow shaker card. And can you believe or, itโs not a pop up card ๐ณ

Surprise, I had so much fun with this release I have 2 cards 2 days in a row ๐ I really wasnโt thinking when I was sitting down writing my blogs so I have 2 Little Twist Panel cards in a row. The Valentine’s cards had to be posted on Valentines Day, and I already had the other post all typed out. The previous card (if you missed it) was showing 2 mechanisms in a slimline card, this post shows 1 mechanism in a cute little square note card, like I said, this set is so versatile.
I thought this die set would make adorable valentines, and I was right, these are so cute, they are only 4 1/4โ square and these Little Twist Panel mechanisms work perfectly. I could have actually made them even smaller if I wanted to but I also want to use the largest square crosshatch to cut the layers for the front inside and back and they are 4 1/8th Square. According to Karen B, you can fit this mechanism inside a 3 1/2โ square card ๐คฏ I decided to make 2 cards using the same materials but opposite of each other.
All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.
Helllo, and happy weekend. Sorry I have been MIA, but I am here this week with a card for this weeks Crazy4Challenges blog challenge. This weeks challenge is a design challenge so I thought it was a good one to jump back in on. I have been completely strapped for time so I decided to give myself another challenge, and that was to ONLY use products that I already have out from other projects. So everything I used are items that I already had either on my work table or things that werenโt quite put away yet, with the exception of the little stamps for the greeting on the front. (I donโt call it My Messy Craftroom for nothing ๐)
Lol if you look close you can see the owls eyes in the blue basket on the right side ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
Here is the sketch for this weeks challenge
And here is my card

so I’m going to start off with an apologie, I’m cheating a little on this one and will be posting links to previous posts for some of the directions, also I made this card before I was blogging so there are not any extra photos but it’s pretty simple so it should be ok. I chose this card tonight as it is a card that I am able to cheat a little on as I am STILL dealing with numb fingers on my left hand and tonight my hand is a little achier than it has been and typing kind of sucks:(
So I was going through my previously made Valentine cards when I came across this gem, apparently, I shouldn’t post the new cards that I am currently making as they are all part of valentines gifts and I don’t want to ruin the surprise ๐ This card is what is called a “Neverending Card”, it is an origami style of card that as you open one layer it brings you to the next layer, when you open that layer in brings you to a third layer, when you open the third layer it brings you to a fourth layer, when you open the fourth layer it brings you to the first layer which starts the whole thing over and can be done continuously which is why it is called a Neverending Card, this one just happens to be a Valentines card ๐
