It’s that time, time for the May Karen Burnistons Design Team Challenge. This months challenge is “Bejewelled” , we need to incorporate something Shiny or Sparkly. I wanted to find a fun way to used the Swirls Pattern plate in a different way, I thought it would be pretty to make a swirly rainbow shaker card. And can you believe or, it’s not a pop up card 😳

Yeah I’m a little late this week, my day job is cutting into my craft time, if you’ve been following you’d see that I have been playing along with Craft Roulette, it is quite fun and sometimes following the parameters is quite a challenge, but so worth it when a fun and unique card comes out of it. This weeks parameters are…..
My card of choice is “pop up” , I used strawberry fields colours, my bench is my chair, and I used yellow plaid. Here is my card.

I am sooo bummed, I just did this blog, the entire thing, was in the very last steps and for some reason my app closed and I lost it all 😢 so here I go again. I really like how this colour combo works together. I’m not typically a yellow/orange person but I really like how these colours pop against the blue. I’ve been having so much fun with Craft Roulette, so I thought I’d play again. This weeks parameters were to have a “card on a card”, “Sky view” colours, it had to have a “table” (this one almost got me) end it had to have white dots or spots. So I went with a messy craft table, with a slimline card sitting on top (bonus challenge, if you know me if there is a card on my messy table it would be a pop up card, so I made a pop up card for my mini card) The colours I chose remind me of a sunset. And the flowers all have little white dots and the gems look like white dots against the blue. This card design is based on a Valentine card that Karen Burniston made a few years ago.

This is my 4th entry for the Craft Roulette card making challenge. Again this is a card I don’t think I would have ever made without being challenged to create within these parameters. The parameters this week were to create a “Peek a Boo” card, colour theme was “first grader”, the element is “Rain” and the random is “Distress edges”. And for those who follow me know it’s a given that the card will also have a pop up mechanism.

Easter is just around the corner, so when Karen announced that the April Designer Challenge was to have a card with a “Bunny” on it, it was kind of a no brainer. This card has an Easter Bunny on the outside and a chocolate bunny on the inside. This is my take on a CARD that Karen Burniston made a couple of years ago. For those of you that know me, you know why I need 2 👧🏼👧🏼
