This is what I came up with.

When I make my cards sometimes I don’t have an exact plan. Sometimes I might just start making things and putting them together, and sometimes I change things on the fly. This is one of those cards.

I started off by making rainbow coloured Party Balloons. I am addicted to my white Gelly Roll pen so I always add white highlights. To add a little extra I also add shading to the bottom right with a Versa Mark marker (see the purple balloons ⬇️)

Once I had the balloons I made the rainbows, sun and clouds from the Rainbow Add Ons. The white arc in this set isn’t meant to be the same size as the rainbow but it still works, you will have a little overhang. I added shading with a Versa Mark Marker, and highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen. I sponged blue ink on the clouds.

I had a lot of leftover rainbow pieces, so I thought I could make cute borders out of them. I cut two white borders to 1 1/2” x 6 7/8” x 2. I want the borders to have fluffy clouds so I used the clouds from the Curved Edges to make a stencil and brushed on blue ink.

I did not have the patience to put all the rainbow pieces in order so I just laid them out on the border and bent some of them to fit. Most of them will still lay side-by-side, as the arch isn’t too extreme. As long as you’re not using the top and bottom arches side by side. Most of the middle ones will work quite well. I trimmed off the extra. I added clouds and the sun to one of them. My intention was to have a top border and a bottom border, but once I got making my card, I decided to put them side-by-side.

I cut the card base and panels as shown and layered and assembled.

I die cut all the pieces for the Arch Pop Up and assembled. (Karen will have a video tutorial on the product page at the link ⬆️ shortly) one thing I noticed while making a previous card is that there is a little wiggle room when attaching the bottom arms. So I was mindful to line the top up with the edge of the arch, and when I did the other side make sure that I lined that side up at the same angle so the arches will match up. This will make more sense once Karen releases her tutorial.

Since I made so many rainbows I decided to add the balloons to the arch in rainbow order. I found that one of the 2 piece balloons was flipping the wrong way when I tried to close the card and was jamming so I took the little blue piece that falls out when diecutting the balloons, bent it in half and adhere it inside between the front and back balloons. It holds it in place but still has some dimension.

Since I had rainbows and balloons why not add unicorns. And since I had so many left over rainbow pieces why not have rainbow hair. I diecut the unicorn from the Leaping Animals set from shimmering white cardstock, the horns from gold. I glued some rainbow pieces down to white cardstock and cut out the tails and manes. I added shading with a Versa Mark Marker, and highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen

I cut out the purple frame from the Whirly Wheel and stamped the greeting from the Rainbow Greetings stamp set. I added shading with a Versa Mark Marker, and highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen

I had originally planned to put the borders at the top and the bottom but soon realized I set the card up wrong. So they had to go side-by-side. If I were doing this again, I would’ve made the two rainbows that meet in the middle actually line up properly in the middle. I cut the purple border as shown, added the rainbow borders as shown.

I added the unicorns and frames as shown.

Now for the front. These are the two original rainbows that I made, but they didn’t line up quite right. The bottom edge did so I just marked on the side edge where to cut so it would go flush to the side edge I did this to both sides.

Well what’s a few more rainbows, I wanted the Happy Birthday to have matching rainbow stripes (size and stitch lines) as the other rainbow soooooo you guest it, first I traced the Happy Birthday Shadow onto THIN white paper, and laid out the rainbow pieces making sure to cover the lines. I diecut the Happy Birthday and added it to a purple shadow. I thought it was a little dark, so I added my signature white highlights. I still found it too dark so I very carefully used my Jellyroll pen and outlined the entire Happy Birthday and I really like how it now pops against the purple.

I added foam adhesive to the back and added it to the center. I added some spare balloons, my extra sun and a cloud. I added some mini gems sprinkles from the bottom left to the top right, and a few randomly around the inside.

Almost forgot. I added Wink of Stella to all the rainbow to give that sparkly glimmer
