More than the Moon Valentine

Happy Valentine’s Day, today I’m sharing a set of Valentine’s Day cards that I made for my granddaughters. Even though I made the same cards, I made them slightly different. Each one uses a different patterned paper, and the face in the window resembles each girl. The message is something that we say to each other and holds a special place in my heart.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

So I decided to try to make a couple of videos to go along with this post, but for the life of me I can’t seem to get the second one to edit properly. I’m still trying to figure out what works so hopefully you enjoy the VIDEO I will be posting.

The card base and panels are shown below. I used 2 sets of each of the panels and layers.

I cut the panels below to the dimensions shown. I used a darker blue and sponged the edges, and used gold Smooch to make stars.

Here is the VIDEO tutorial on how I created this background and coloured some of the other pieces.

I cut a layered more panels. These are for the front. Sorry if the patterned paper is confusing. I forgot to take photos when I was creating one of the cards so I had to take photos when I was creating the next card.

I die, cut, layered, shaded and highlighted the accessory pieces. It will be shown in the same video as the background. All the product links will be at the bottom of this post.

I added all of the layers for the inside. And the mechanism for the Rocket Pop up (Karen has a video tutorial on the product page at the link ⬆️ )

I stamped the greeting on the large pink planet then I added the planets, the moon, the stars, the words and all the hearts. and of course the rocket.

I added the panels and the front greeting. The stamped part is on the thin banner from the long rectangle and I trimmed it as shown.
